About you

We are seeking an ambitious entrepreneurial expert with a strong and proven track record of defining and progressing drug delivery strategies for nucleic acid modalities (i.e. ON, mRNA, plasmid, CRISPR etc.). You have experience with advanced drug delivery platforms such as lipid and/or polymeric nanoparticles. You can translate biological performance to innovate successful delivery designs of nucleic acid cargo. You promote a culture of exploration and collaboration with open and honest discussions. You can argue your case and create business from science.

The job

You will be involved in cross-disciplinary project teams engaging internal and external partners. The project teams will have an integrated focus on disease understanding, design of nucleic acid modalities and novel drug delivery systems. In the team you will have the lead role for the drug delivery. With your background you will strengthen our competencies in the field.

You will

• Define drug delivery strategies and entrepreneur new technologies
• Establish and lead collaborations with small biotech companies
• Lead projects within drug delivery
• Secure intellectual property rights
• Proactively suggest and run pharmaceutical research
• Identify and stay updated on trends and state of the art

Your qualifications

• PhD in drug delivery, pharmaceutical research, biotechnology, or relevant field
• 5-10 years of experience from working in or with the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Deep understanding and expert level experience of drug delivery of nucleic acid modalities
• Experience with applying advanced methods to analyse drug delivery performance e.g. imaging techniques
• Track record with publications, patents and presentations in the field
• Preferably knowledge of developability assessment of novel drug delivery systems and experience with regulatory authorities’ expectations
• Goal oriented strong team player that easily builds and maintains relationships
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English
