Strategy , performance via partnerships and people management

Your overall focus is to ensure high quality deliverables and processes across our transactional finance processes, globally. Based at the LEO Pharma HQ in Ballerup you will lead 12-15 people in 3 teams consisting of experienced finance professionals.

The Global Finance Supoport Function is the active owner of the finance process and the link between the global LEO organisation and our Business Process providers (BPO) where the two biggest and most important are based in India. The function is responsible for the following processes: Travel Expenses & Entertainment, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Intercompany and Bank Processing. Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Develop a new strategy and set direction
  • Improve the governance set-up around the finance processes
  • Motivate and develop your team – with the 3 team leaders as your leadership team
  • Ensure high quality deliverables from BPOs and other providers – KPI monitoring etc.
  • Ensure on-going development and implementation of new and smarter processes
  • Ensure adequate and efficient handling of incidents

A vital part of your road to success will be founded on your ability to engage with customers and stakeholders across the global organisation – to understand needs and opportunities in order to ensure that your team meet the requirements the best possible way.

You will be part of the leadership team for Global Accounting & Tax together with the VP to whom you directly refer. You can look forward to 2-3 yearly trips to India to meet the BPOs.

Positive people manager with solid accounting knowledge

We are looking for a genuine people manager that can take the steering wheel, create team spirit and pride. You must be a leadership profile that can develop a strategy and set the direction that turns ideas into new solutions while using curiosity and drive for results as leverage.

If you are the one, you have the overview and calmness it takes to navigate safely in an environment where the only constant is change. Additionally, you can transfer your own calmness to people around you. You must also be able to make (many) business critical decisions without knowing the full picture – your job is to a wide extent to help us paint the picture of how we handle accounting and related processes in the future. Your basic CV comprises:

  • A Master’s degree in economics and/or accounting and 10+ years’ experience within accounting
  • Several years’ experience as people manager in an international environment
  • Experience from working with external service providers is essential
