Global IT Category Manager for Indirect Procurement

Global IT Category Manager

The Global IT Category Manager will be leading sourcing and procurement activities for the Global IT category.

Besides being a colleague to the approx. 70 people working in Global Procurement, you will be part of a strong, ambitious and dynamic team consisting of two Global IT Category Managers reporting to the Global Head of IT Procurement.

 

The job                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

You will work as a trusted sourcing and procurement advisor for the Global IT organization and liaise with a broad field of IT suppliers hence experience and clear understanding of the IT trends, commercial drivers, and market dynamics is a must. The role requires excellent skills in communication and stakeholder management, coupled with solid change management capability and strong negotiation skills. It is important that you can embrace change, enjoy agile environments and have a continuous improvement mindset.

 

As Global IT Category Manager, your main areas of responsibility will be to:

  • Create, implement and manage category strategies across the IT subcategories. The strategies support and are interrelated to the ambitious targets of becoming a best in class Global Procurement department
  • Take lead on procurement projects and tenders in close cooperation with IT and LoB stakeholders to ensure best possible TCO and contractual outcome for LEO
  • Know the main IT vendors' markets, drivers and business models; collaborate effectively across different organizational levels and functions to realize procurement goals and objectives
  • Develop a sourcing pipeline by collecting the demand, identifying sourcing opportunities, prioritizing the same and minimizing the risk
  • Optimize our supplier portfolio by constantly monitoring performance and balance between money and value
  • Develop, champion and ensure implementation of ideas within the Procurement organization and optimize total cost of ownership year-over-year.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within IT Procurement is a prerequisite
  • Manager/Professional Services Category Manager from an international corporation and/or Pharma industry experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with multilevel stakeholder management
  • Proactive personality & teamwork attitude
  • Fluency in English and preferably Danish
  • A relevant Master’s degree is preferred but not a pre-requisite if you have demonstrable relevant experience
