Translational Scientist to Clinical Pharmacology

Can you take on the role as LEO´s new pharmacology 

If you have a solid background within pharmacology you now have the opportunity to take on the challenge and become LEO Pharma’s new expert within precision based medicine and disease understanding. You will join a team of experienced and highly skilled scientists committed to understand the mechanisms behind inflammatory skin diseases and how our candidate drugs influence these mechanisms. We have just launched an extremely ambitious 2025 strategy, and Clinical Pharmacology is an important part of that strategy. Your job

You will join an international market leader within dermatology with focus on inflammatory skin diseases. We have a rich project portfolio that covers small molecules and biologics aiming at both topical and  systemic treatment solutions. Your overall focus will be to support the organisation with in depth disease understanding and understanding of the pharmacodynamic effects of our investigatory drugs. Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Organize the required clinical pharmacology support and guidance. In particular strategies for developing Mode of Action understanding in our clinical projects
  • Work pro-actively, on both the strategic and operational level, to ensure relevant biomarkers are included in clinical trials
  • Deliver required documentation for authority submissions
  • Represent Clinical Pharmacology at authority and external KOL interactions

 

A vital part of the job is also to keep yourself updated with new developments in the field of clinical pharmacology, including relevant regulatory legislation, guidelines and submission principles. It is important to keep appraised with the literature and ensure 

 

Your profile

You have worked in the pharma industry for at least a few years after your PhD , and you have solid experience with pharmacological research (clinical or non-clinical). It is an advantage if you have experience from authority interactions and clinical trial design, and if you have published in peer-reviewed journals.

You must be able to communicate complex information to colleagues across the LEO organisation and to external stakeholders. You thrive on creating results via constructive collaboration.

 

About the Clinical Pharmacology department

You will join a well-functioning department of 5 colleagues. We are a multifunctional department responsible for descriptive characterisation (PK and PK/PD analysis) and biological understanding of the drug action in human beings.  In particular we are responsible for precision based medicine and mode of action understanding of our drugs in all phases of clinical development. We are part of the Medical Science and Safety function in Clinical Development. You can look forward to join LEO in one of the most exciting times in our history.
