Engineer – design control & electronics R&D

Do you want to help people worldwide via innovative development of medical devices?

LEO Pharma has embarked on a journey to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner. Part of this is our increased focus within development of innovative medical devices – and that is why we need you and your electronics knowledge. You will help break new land in the development of connected solutions that will make a significant difference for people with skin diseases all over the world. As our first expert specialised in electronics you can look forward to massive impact and influence in the shaping of your own role as well as our overall approach.

Contribute all the way from first idea to final product

You can look forward to unfolding your skills in an international environment among truly passionate and talented colleagues and partners. You will become the team’s primary responsible for establishing design requirements in a systematic way and translating these into specifications – while ensuring design control all the way to verification and validation. You will focus on connectivity in order to capture data related to the use of LEO Pharma’s products, injection devices as well as lotions. You will:

  • Develop cutting edge products within digital healthcare – combining HW and SW
  • Translate requirements into specifications
  • Ensure design control and create technical documentation all the way to verification and validation – aligned with our quality management system
  • Keep up to date and share your knowledge within market and technological trends, e.g. within data capture and wearables
  • Contribute to identifying and transforming opportunities within tech trends to value for our patients and health care providers
  • Contribute to optimisation of data capture from LEO Pharma’s clinical studies
  • Bring in and share your overall knowledge within electronics

A vital part of the job is to create results in close cooperation with outsourcing partners and suppliers. As you get acquainted to the organisation, products and methods you will be more involved in managing projects – in close collaboration with colleagues across the organisation.

Electronics professional with device development understanding

You have an engineering degree in electronics or similar at minimum Master’s level. Additionally, you bring a good understanding of medical device development and system engineering. Ideally, you have experience in developing mechatronical medical devices or drug device combination products. However, it is not a prerequisite for applying.

As you will become primary responsible for design control you must have an excellent overview in combination with an ability to understand and adapt to big systems (our quality management system). Additionally, you are a true finisher that can create results via knowledge sharing and constructive cooperation – internally as well as externally. Last but not least, you must thrive in an organisation where the only constant is change, meaning you will experience on-going changes in prioritisations and goals.

About Design & Connectivity – your new team

You will join 7 highly skilled R&D professionals within the Devices area. With our focus on connectivity we merge technology and medical products with the overall aim to provide digital health solutions to both patients and caregivers. We work systematically with innovation and base our processes on design thinking and systems engineering – experimentation and early testing is our foundation.

We work in an informal environment characterised by entrepreneurial spirit and a common drive for making a significant difference for people with skin diseases. We are based at the LEO headquarters in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen.

We look forward to receiving your application.
