Senior Process Specialist with fermentation skills

Can you help taking our API production to the next level with data based optimisations?

If your professional interest and experience comprises large-scale API production and data based optimisations you now have the chance for a job tailored just to you! You will get the opportunity to unfold all of your skills in a super team, and you will do it in the most exciting period of time. LEO has set out to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner. To succeed, we invest intensively in our API production facilities. This is combined with an immense focus on strengthening our science, technological and data analytic capabilities. Now, we need you to help us take the next leap forward.

Take lead in important improvement projects in API Fucidin®

As Senior Process Specialist you primary focus is to optimise the output from our API production. You will do so by implementing new knowledge, new technology and better processes. You will ensure that all your initiatives are founded within turning data into tangible optimisations of processes, and you will especially focus on fermentation activities related to API Fucidin® production. In overview, your primary tasks will be to:

  •  Identify opportunities to improve output and increase robustness of processes
  • Lead or participate in implementation of improvements in API production – including Process Analytical Technology (PAT)
  • Lead and/or participate in process validation projects
  • Provide scientific and technological expertise to support commercial production activities as well as engineering projects
  • Lead or participate in lab-scale experiments
  • Collect and analyse process data including ensuring an appropriate level of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Assist in handling deviations and investigations as subject-matter expert

Fermentation experience from GMP regulated production environment

You hold a degree at master’s level in microbiology or similar. Your previous career has provided you with a minimum of two years’ experience from working with fermentation in a large-scale API production. You have worked in a GMP regulated environment where you also have gained experience within process validation. If you additionally have knowledge within Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and related implementation, it is an advantage but not a prerequisite for applying.

As driver of optimisations and change you will need all of your ability to move things forward in a positive and constructive way. This takes confidence and the ability to make (many) decisions on a daily basis – in an environment with many deadlines and contacts. As you will be responsible for multiple tasks and project flows you must also thrive in a role where coordination is of vital importance – you can make it happen based on your positive, open-minded approach and good communication skills.
