Senior Scientist – Late Formulation & Process Development

Formulation and process expertise with small molecules

We work in cross-functional project teams and you will be assigned to one or more development projects.

In detail you will be expected to:

  • Be involved in our late stage development projects from phase 2a clinical trials until two years after launch, where you will bring expert formulation and process know-how into play in a project specific manner
  • Organise daily work in the laboratory or managing outsourced projects, i.e. plan, execute and report formulation development, process development and scale-up trials using Quality by Design principles
  • Transfer technology to LEO manufacturing sites / CMO’s for both clinical trial medication manufacture and commercialisation
  • Prepare CMC documentation for clinical trial applications and regulatory filings


Experienced profile with passion and drive

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Scientist with strong understanding of pharmaceutical processes. You have a proven track record of impacting late stage development projects and Quality by Design is integrated in your way of working.

You have thorough experience with technology transfer as we work closely with partners, internal manufacturing sites and clinical CMO’s. You are also experienced in writing regulatory documentation.

You are curious and ready to challenge yourself with novel process types as LEO’s pipeline consists of projects utilising innovative technologies like topical sprays and other radical delivery technologies besides more well-known ones within semi-solids and orals.

You have a natural ability and desire to communicate and collaborate across disciplines and across sites.

In our R&D environment it is important that you are have a decisive, flexible and open mindset as well as a structured and solution-oriented approach. You hold a MSc and preferably a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences or related disciplines.
