Category Manager procurement – CAPEX, MRO & ENERGY

Join us and impact the journey for taking global procurement to the next level

Do you have good experience as Category Manager within procurement? Are you looking for a job where you can get major international responsibility and personally impact a new team with a super ambitious agenda? If so, this is your opportunity. LEO pharma has embarked on a very exciting journey to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner by 2020. To succeed, we are optimising in almost every possible way, and best-in-class procurement is a vital component – and that is why we need you and all of your skills and good ideas.

Globally responsible for procurement activities within the category team

With CAPEX, MRO & Energy as the overall category framework you will become globally responsible for procurement activities within your category responsibility; “spare parts & components” or “Engineering & process IT consulting” to LEO Pharma’s production sites in Denmark, Ireland, France and Australia. A vital part of your area of responsibility will be to manage the procurement activities for CAPEX projects for designated sites Ireland or France. You will work from development of new strategy to handling of minor day to day inquiries. Across your tasks, solid stakeholder management to people at all levels will be crucial for your success. Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Develop and maintain category strategy for “spare parts & components” or “Engineering & process IT consulting”
  • Drive and manage procurement and sourcing projects
  • Establish best practice, processes and procedures – including on-going optimisations
  • Initiate tenders, analyse bids and negotiate contracts with vendors
  • Manage current contracts – including frequent performance reviews
  • Collect and consolidate data providing spend visibility – spend analysis and savings
  • Collect and share market knowledge

You will join a new and very ambitious team of skilled and dedicated procurement experts. Our goal is to take LEO’s procurement to the next level. New ways of organising, new ways of thinking, smarter processes, and better tools. With due respect to existing systems and our colleagues’ work life we are ready to challenge for the better, and we are eager to share our vision with you and to hear your ideas.

Category management experience and drive for making an impact

You have good experience as Category Manager within procurement. If you know the “spare parts & components” market or “Engineering & process IT consulting” market it will naturally be an advantage, however it is not prerequisite for applying – as long as your knowledge covers the span of technique and economy. As you will join a new and very busy team, you must thrive on taking personal responsibility for your tasks while at the same time contribute with ideas of how to optimise our team and operation. Managing many projects, tasks and deadlines also takes solid overview, drive and stamina.

Your career has taught you how to create results in a complex setting with multiple agendas and stakeholders. Related to this, you have the necessary communication skills to get your messages acknowledged at all levels – in written and spoken English, fluent French would be considered an advantage. Finally, you must be ready to travel 10-20 days per year to meet colleagues and partners.

You will be based at the LEO Pharma headquarters in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen.

We look forward to receiving your application.
